Speaking Policy

Thom Underwood has been speaking about technology and its affects on the jewelry industry since the late 80’s. He has been published in National Jeweler and JCK.

His talks are entertaining, educational and fun. He uses humor to make some of his points and to tell stories of his experiences as both a retail jeweler and appraiser.

Throughout the year Thom regularly presents Professional Appraisal Software (PAS) to Quantum Leap User Group meetings at trade shows and the annual Quantum Leap gathering. Additionally Thom speaks to appraisal organizations presenting a wide range of technology and demonstrating how it can be applied to the appraisal profession.

In 2006 Thom is focusing his lecture time with the presentation of Gem eWizard, the latest in digital colored gem color grading, how it works, and how it can meet the needs of gem and jewelry appraisers.

Fees: $500 for presentation plus travel expenses

(Travel expenses will be discounted if speech is during a scheduled trade-show at which QLSS is registered)
