Gem EWizard Announces Online Version of Color Communications System

GemeWizard, the developer of the groundbreaking system for describing and communicating color in gems, has announced that it will be supplying an online version of its color communication application free of charge on its website, which is located at www.gemewizard.com. Called the GemSquare Lite, the feature enables users to accurately describe a gemstone's color, and then transfer that information to a third party by email.

GemeWizard is inviting those clients who earlier purchased the original GemeSquare software to upgrade free of charge to GemeSquare 2.0. The latest version of the program includes an application called GemeSampler Lite, which is able to scan a digital photograph of a colored gem and then automatically assign its color description and GemeWizard alphanumeric Color Code.

NAJA & PAS Appraisal Document Module

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) announces the collaboration with Professional Appraisal Software (PAS) to create an appraisal document module for NAJA appraisers that is in conformity with NAJA’s Minimum Standards.  Thom Underwood, GG, inventor of Quantum Leap’s PAS software (also a NAJA member) , responded to the need to have a ready-made computer generated appraisal model that conforms to the 2008 standards and protocols of NAJA and USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice). read more >>>

Thanks to all users for their continuing feedback and feature requests. Below are just a few of your ideas that are now found in Quantum Leap.

Database Synchronization

Quantum Leap users now have the ability to synchronize two databases thereby supporting the use of two or more computers 'in the field.'

Data Import and Export provides you with the ability to merge two databases including related reports and photos.  It allows you to 'set up' the remote computer with relevant primary computer PAS data, perform the appraisal work offsite, then return and merge any new data back to your primary computer and the PAS database.

PDF Report Generator

Use of a PDF report generator for emailing reports.

NAJA Scholarship Winner Blaire Beavers

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) announces the winner of the 2007 ACE© It Conference Scholarship to attend the 29th Annual ACE© It Winter Educational Conference scheduled on February 4-5, 2008 in Tucson AZ.
